Job Summary
We are a local vending company seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering products to our customers while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage routes efficiently. The Route Driver will also be involved in pricing, upselling, and inventory as part of their daily responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver products along designated routes.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including pricing and inventory levels.
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Upsell additional products during deliveries to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Perform merchandising tasks to ensure product displays are appealing and well-stocked.
- Handle heavy lifting of products as required during loading and unloading processes.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding route progress and any challenges encountered.
- Organize daily routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois non-CDL driver's license and good driving record are mandatory.
- Must be fluent in English. Spanish is a plus, but not required.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs consistently.
- Ability to operate basic material handling equipment (totes, hand-carts, etc.)
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Tech-savvy and able to use smart phones for inventory updates and communication.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships with clients.
- Effective communication skills for clear interaction with customers and team members.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently throughout the day.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
